Local Attractions
Whitwell, who's name originates from the white well in the village providing water to pilgrimages in the middle ages, offers some of the best walking routes on the island and a fine pub to finish off your route. Making Kingsmede a great location for dog walkers, ramblers and cyclists with it also being on the 'Round the Island' cycle route. The village also benefits from fishing lakes that can be used for a fee to a local farm.
